Your AI agent

An AI strategist with its own email address that clients can write to, which plans, writes and reports on their behalf.

Your workspace can have an AI agent: an AI strategist with a name (Gail, unless you rename her), her own email address for each brand, and the ability to do real work in Verbolica. Clients email her as they would an account manager. She replies straight away, does what's asked, and hands anything she can't do to your team.

Not available in every workspace

The AI agent needs a mailbox set up for your workspace. If you don't see Settings → AI Strategist, contact Verbolica to switch it on.

What she can do

From an email, the agent can:

  • write content drafts: blog posts, pages and social posts
  • plan Search, social and email campaigns
  • track keywords
  • add competitors, personas, products and brand knowledge
  • generate the monthly report
  • read attached Word, Excel and text files, and design a website page from one
  • answer questions about the brand's plan and performance

She can also write the brand's quarterly strategy and send it to the client for approval.

What she never does

She never publishes, schedules or changes a live page. Everything she writes goes through the normal approval process, and a person always decides what goes live.

She is always open about being an AI: every email she sends ends with an AI disclosure, which can be reworded but not removed.

Set her up for the workspace

Workspace owners configure the agent in Settings → AI Strategist:

SettingWhat it does
Name and Role titleHow she introduces herself.
SignatureHow she signs every email.
AI disclosureAdded to the end of every email. Reword it, but it can't be removed.
Alerts go toWhere escalations, work handed to the team, blocked senders and failed replies are sent.
Replies herself or Drafts onlyWhether she sends replies, or leaves drafts for a person to send.

The page also lists every brand with its agent email address.

Set her up for a brand

Owners and agency staff manage each brand in Brand Settings → More brand settings → AI Strategist:

  • Email address: the address clients write to for this brand. You can pause it; mail sent while paused isn't answered, and you're alerted instead.
  • Contacts: who may email her. Can instruct contacts can ask her for work; giving someone this access asks you to confirm, because it lets them spend the brand's credits by email. Can observe contacts are known to her, but she doesn't act on what they send. The brand's approvers can always reach her. Mail from anyone else is held back, and you're alerted.
  • Strategy: the brand's current strategy. Click Write strategy, with an optional focus, to have her write a three-month plan and send it for approval. Switch on Plans quarterly strategies on her own to have her write the next one before each quarter ends.
  • Review her work before it goes to the client: when on, what she drafts waits for your team under Management → Internal reviews. A person then sends it to the client for approval, or keeps it as drafts.
  • Activity: the last 50 emails she handled, with what she decided, each action she took, and the reply she sent.

How she handles requests

For every email, the agent checks the sender is who they claim to be and is allowed to instruct her, reads the request against the brand's plan and credits, and then either:

  • does the work and replies with what she did
  • offers an alternative if the request would crowd out planned work, explaining the trade-off
  • hands it to a person if it needs a human or the brand can't afford it, and tells the client someone will follow up

Work she does spends the brand's credits, like any other AI work. See Credits.

Strategies she writes

A strategy the agent writes appears on the brand's Strategy Plan page beside any strategy your team wrote. Each strategy shows how it was built, including the credits it was planned against. The client approves it like any other request: by email, or on the approval page. If they ask for changes, she rewrites it.
